Der Hallesche Kunstpreis wird für einbedeutendes künstlerisches Werk als erster Ehrenpreis der Stadt Halle für bildende Kunst verliehen. Er wird vom Halleschen Kunstverein ausgelobt, von der Stadt Halle mitgetragen und von der Stiftung der Saalesparkasse und privaten Sponsoren großzügig unterstützt.
